This watch has a stainless steel case that measures 44 mm and a movement with flat balance spring. The watch catches attention by some its peculiar features. First of all, the chronograph seconds hand in this watch makes a complete rotation in 30 seconds instead of 60 seconds as many other watches do. There is a small indicator at 12 o’clock position that lets the user know if he is in the first or second 30 seconds. The watch features a flyback function due to which the totaliser can be returned to zero and restarted in one push of the button. What is more, there is a second time-zone indicator, so the wearer of this fantastic timepiece can see time in another time zone. The watch also has a calendar and a 24 day/date indicator at 3 o’clock.

By the way, the first pocket watch for French Naval Airvforces had been released by Breguet much earlier – in 1815. In fact, the company got the order in 1958, however, engineers from the legendary brand took two years to develop a model that corresponded to all the requirements of the ordering customer who wanted all pilots to wear chronographs with flyback function. Breguet developed the flyback-chronograph that had been used by pilots up to the beginning of the 1980s. In 1998 the line was enriched with the Type XX Transatlangique model with date function, the Type XXIITranatlangique and the novelty of this year. The models differ one from another, but all of them feature the flyback function. The Breguet Type XXII 3880 ST costs $18 000.

Also in 2010 Breguet released a cheaper Type XXII watch – the Type XXII Flyback. Like the previously described model, this one has flyback function and the hand that makes complete rotation in 30 seconds. The watch is powered by the automatic 589F caliber with 28 jewels and power reserve of 45 hours. The watch has such functions as countdown, hours, minutes, seconds, second time zone, month, data, chronograph. The case of the watch is made of steel, it measures 44 mm. There is a bi-directional bezel. The watch is waterproof to 100 m. Hands and hour markers are luminescent. The timepiece costs about $9200.
